Working toward a BS in business administration at the University of Florida, Christopher Dabney has completed diverse coursework in finance, equity and capital markets, as well as supply chain management. In the summer of 2015, Christopher Dabney gained professional experience with Ameris Bank through an internship as a credit analyst. He helped determine clients’ creditworthiness by evaluating their financial data and managing corporate risk. Assessing new and existing commercial loans, he presented his findings to the Ameris Bank loan committee.
Prior to entering college, Mr. Dabney spent four years on active duty in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marine Corps’ 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, Company E. Guiding a fire team in support of close combat operations, he earned an Afghanistan Campaign medal, Combat Action ribbon, amongst others.
An avid traveler, Mr. Dabney has visited a number of Mediterranean islands and was aboard the Sea Diamond cruise ship when it sank off the Santorini coast in Greece in 2007. Christopher Dabney is active with the University of Florida Rugby Club and contributes to Disabled American Veterans.
